New York City Department of Education Official Arrested For Failing To File New York State Taxes

New York State law mandates the annual filing of State tax returns.  City employee are not exception, like all New York State residents, tax returns must be filed or one face the possible consequences of arrest and prosecution.

Richard L. Brescia, Director of Performance Management & Talent Development of the City Department of Education (DOE) was arrested and charged of failing to file New York State income tax returns and falsely claiming to have filed them.
