Bribery Attempts Brought Additional Charges To An Alleged Pimp’s Case

Dathan Davis, an alleged pimp was additionally indicted with two counts of bribing a witness, two counts of 3rd degree tampering with a witness, two counts of 4th degree tampering with a witness, one count of 2nd degree criminal contempt and one count of endangering the welfare of a child for attempting to bribe and threaten a 15 year old victim in the related case of promoting prostitution.

After his previous indictment in May 2009 on charges of promoting a minor into prostitution and kidnapping, Davis was served with an order of protection directing him to stay away from the 15 year old victim he allegedly pimped.

However between March 1, 2010 and April 4, 2010, Davis purportedly offered to share the proceeds of a lawsuit he would bring against New York City for malicious prosecution if she disappeared or be unwilling to testify on the date of his upcoming trial.

If convicted of these additional charges, Davis can face up to a total more than 25 years in prison.
